The McKade brothers are back! Only this time, it is Nelson McKade’s turn to learn a valuable lesson in acquiescence. Nelson’s grandfather has sent him to the tiny town of Four Corners, Illinois, where he is supposed to spend the summer working for a widowed dairy farmer. But Nelson gets a huge shock when that dairy farmer turns out to be a young, blonde-pigtailed, widow with a teenage son! Ellen Tanner may not be living the life of her dreams, but she’s determined to live the lot she’s been given with pride. Struggling to keep her farm afloat, she’s had to sacrifice quality time with her son, so when she gets the offer for Nelson to work on her farm, she jumps at the chance. Yet, Nelson is far from the experienced farmer she expected. As Nelson and Ellen square off amidst sparks, one question remains: who’s really in charge? Let NELSON IN COMMAND take command of your heart! NELSON IN COMMAND is another fun, heartwarming story from Marin Thomas. Nelson is the ultimate fish out of water as he tries to take charge in a situation where he is clearly out of his element. Readers will enjoy watching Nelson wrestle with his lesson as well as with a spunky dairy farmer who is anything but a pushover. Ellen Tanner is the perfect compliment to Nelson. Strong and determined, she knows all about making tough choices and isn’t afraid to say no to Nelson’s bossy ways. She is, however, afraid of what the handsome CEO makes her feel, and Ellen must learn a valuable lesson of her own along the way. Once again, Ms. Thomas tackles deep issues of self-esteem and learning what to value in life, and yet manages to do so with a light-hearted, fun-loving story that guarantees readers a laugh and a buoyant heart. Filled with a great set of characters, each with their own unique personalities, NELSON IN COMMAND is a quick, enjoyable read that can be savored or read in one sitting. This reviewer loved the glimpse of Aaron and Jennifer from the previous McKade book, AARON UNDER CONSTRUCTION, as well as of Ryan from the book yet to come, RYAN’S RENOVATION. Readers who enjoy stories about home, family, and the power of love, should not miss Marin Thomas’ latest.
