When Quinn, our heroine, crosses the portal from her parallel universe world to our earth she is made aware of and delayed by a ghostly spirit. The ghost is Caleb Marshall, a werewolf who was killed during a fight with his cousin over 75 years ago and has lingered here on earth, in his mind, to avenge his death. Quinn has been aroused by Caleb like nothing ever experienced before, but knows that he will harm her very good friends here on earth, the Marshalls. Quinn tries to stay away but his pull is overwhelming. More than that and as intense her attraction to him, Quinn realizes that there is no future in falling for a ghostly presence. Quinn must say on course of her main purpose – to protect and find a safe place for her best friend Zarah to give birth to her baby. Caleb is impossibly drawn to Quinn whom he senses is his life-mate. When Caleb has the opportunity to acquire another chance at life by entering the body of a murder victim he rashly takes it; his primal urge thinking only that as a man he could mate with Quinn. Unfortunately, along with the new body came new revelations which involve Caleb in a horrific and diabolical plot aimed at undermining the U.S. government. Caleb would have to put his life on the line in order to fulfill the destiny he’d waited 75 years to complete. Including making peace and working with his sworn enemies, the Marshall descendants in order to save his love and a future with Quinn. *** In GHOST MOON, a book in one of author Rebecca York’s Moon series the new reader is in for a treat and fans of this popular series get to enjoy another exciting adventure. Evidently, this is the sixth book in the Moon series but only the second one for me, which entitles me to say it is completely stand alone and a completely provocative entertaining adventure. The leads are a super dynamic couple and the secondary characters are fascinating enough to send the reader back in search of the first books of this series. As well as being terrifically fast paced and fantastical, this suspense thriller is one you should clear your schedule for as you will not want to put it down once started. All the elements I love in a paranormal fantasy are here, werewolf shape shifters, ghosts, parallel universe with emphatic beings having terrific psychic powers, yummy heroes and strong and unique heroines. Quinn and Caleb are powerfully drawn to one another and one can easily assume that Quinn held a supporting role in earlier books from the series, as well as the other Marshall men who though they took secondary roles in this book, must have been the leads from other books of the series; notably the very yummy sounding Ross and Logan Marshall and their wives are stories that sound irresistible and I will probably look for. Quinn and Caleb’s sensual couplings were very spicy overflowing with intense emotional sensuality, along with high excitement adventures and death defying battles, as they traversed back and forth through the parallel worlds’ portal in search of cures, and memories of a dead man’s life. Original and creative, Rebecca York cements her place as a master of the paranormal romance genre whether it be with this MOON series, or her BEYOND series (which I also highly recommend)In a nutshell - York’s work is phenomenal!
