In The Twilight of your dreams, magic can happen… Cindy is a lonely single woman looking for something, or someone, special. Her life is normal and boring until one night and day shakes things up. She’s in for the shock of her life when she has a vivid dream of a man that comes to life for one magical day. Or did it really occur at all? What happens when morning dawns once more and it’s all over? The whole premise of The Twilight is quite an intriguing one. We all know what the true purpose of dreaming is… to let our subconscious work out problems and feelings we may not even be aware of in our conscious world or are aware of and unsure how to resolve. So I was fascinated by the idea of a dream taking on a physical form and entering into the waking world, through The Twilight, of the dream world as it is called here. I thought Cindy’s emotions about the unusual event were very well done. Who wouldn’t be thrilled at an actual dream coming true. On the flipside, they’d be upset when they question if it really happened at all. While the story is too short for a complex character arc, we get a glimpse of what might be for Cindy and her dream man. © Kelley A. Hartsell, May 2008. All rights reserved. |
