Michael Tremayne, Marquess of Falconridge, is in need of money. Desperate, he decides his only course of action is to take a rich wife. Unwilling to go through the painful courting process, Michael decides to auction away his one possession of value—his title—to the highest bidding American father.  But, he never imagined he would end up with Kate Rose.

Kate desires the one thing from marriage Michael could never provide—love. She is determined to refuse his sensual advances until he has earned her love. Michael knows nothing about love, but plenty about passion. He believes one can substitute for the other, and sets out to prove Kate wrong. But what will happen when he realizes Kate’s love is the only thing he desperately wants?

I have been a longtime fan of Lorraine Heath’s. Her books never fail to engross me or entertain me. When I read the first book in the Roses and Rogues series (A Duke of Her Own), I was stunned by how incredible the book was. And, yet, JUST WICKED ENOUGH somehow manages to surpass it.

I could not put this book down. From the first page I was swept away with Michael and Kate, two very real, very complex characters, with secrets and disillusionment clouding their pasts. Michael is a tortured hero who believes no one could love him. Kate is a bruised heroine who refuses to be happy with a man who does not love her. Their rocky marriage unfolds through the pages of JUST WICKED ENOUGH, and readers cannot help but be compelled to follow them on their journey.

Whether Lorraine Heath pens a regency historical, a western historical or even a contemporary matters not. She gives the same dedication to every book, bringing characters and places to life with her attention to detail and depth of emotion. I’ve never read a Lorraine Heath book I didn’t love, but with JUST WICKED ENOUGH she unearths a sparkling gem of a story that readers will cherish for years to come.

As I shelve JUST WICKED ENOUGH among my other prized Lorraine Heath books, I can’t help but hum with anticipation for the next book in her Roses and Rogues series. What does Ms. Heath have in store for Jenny Rose and the Earl of Ravensley? I, for one, can’t wait to find out.
