When a young woman mysteriously stumbles out of the Hanalei Mountains on Kauai with no memory of who she is or why she is in Hawaii, Monica Pierce knows the young woman’s been brought there by God. She calls on her brother, Cameron, for help and he reluctantly agrees to investigate. He has his suspicions that the head injuries she suffered are from more than a mere hiking accident, and that, coupled with the feeling he’s seen her somewhere, convinces him to be wary of her.

The woman, named “Jade” by Cameron’s sister, Monica, is both frightened and frustrated by the memory loss. She’s determined to regain what she’s lost—and figure out who she is, but when she begins to recall fragments of the events leading up to her accident, they tell an alarming story. As Jade and Cameron attempt to piece together Jade’s identity, they learn there is more at stake than either of them ever expected.

Ms. Heitzmann’s excellent research lends FREFALL an exotic air through the use of local dialect, customs and breathtaking scenery. Readers will be swept away with the lush beauty of Hawaii and transported to the island of Kauai through Ms. Heitzmann’s writing. Can readers hope that Ms. Heitzmann will pen future books centered around this exciting locale?

FREEFALL is a book that will leave you with a single thought. Wow. That’s it. What more can you say about a book that is a thrilling adventure, an engrossing love story, compelling, inspirational, uplifting, and beautifully written all rolled into one? Ms. Heitzmann has outdone herself. FREEFALL is, without a doubt, her best book to date and should be placed in your run-don’t-walk to be bought column immediately.

Here is an inspirational book that doesn’t sugarcoat the tough issues. FREFALL hits them head on through the eyes of troubled characters who make difficult (and sometimes wrong) choices. Each and every character in this book is gripping, although Cameron is at the front of the pack for this reviewer. I dare you to read this book and not come away with a greater understanding of God’s love and power. That is my challenge to each and every one of you. This is a story that worms its way into the deepest recesses of the human heart and changes you.

FREEFALL is a must read and one that I highly recommend to anyone, regardless of your preferred genre. This is one story you can’t afford to miss!
