How does a person go on after losing someone they love?

Dr. Hugh Scott doesn't know, but he does know that having a female doctor in the office is not the answer!  No one can replace his wife's place and Dr. Alexandra "Alex" Lorimer is without a doubt completely inappropriate.  After all, she wears biker leather!  Whatever made his partner think she would be a good choice?  There is something about Alex that worms her way into his heart... but can Hugh convince Alex to stay?

Maggie Kingsley grabbed me from the first paragraph with this one! How could I not like a character like Hugh?  His thoughts as he deals with a hypochondriac patient are priceless and had me laughing hysterically.  There was no way I could put this one down after that.

Maggie Kingsley cleverly injects humor to keep A WIFE WORTH WAITING FOR from being too overwhelming.  Grief is a very tough issue to read about, particularly in a romance, but Ms. Kingsley does it well.  The humor and the lighthearted sense of fun bring a touch of joy to what would otherwise be a very dark book.  Don't think there aren't some tough moments in spite of the humor, however, as there most certainly are.  But the sense of hope that pervades this book is reassuring, even uplifting.

Maggie Kingsley is a new author to me, as many of the Harlequin Medical authors are, but I will certainly be reading more of her work after finishing this one.  Superb!
