Okay, I know the ISBN is straight from Amazon but for whatever reason, there are no matches to it even though it’s listed at Amazon!

Aimee Reynolds is enjoying the day shopping at Pike’s Street Market with her sister, Sara, when they stumble upon an antique store. Aimee can’t resist buying an antique locket when suddenly she finds herself covered in mud as she narrowly escapes death under the wheels of a wagon. Transported back to the year 1847, Aimee is alone but desperate to get back to Seattle… even if it means marrying Jake Marshall to do so.

P.L. Parker has a knack for capturing the essence of a time period and making readers feel as if they are truly visiting that time. The hardships and the sheer danger of the drive out west are vividly brought to life in AIMEE’S LOCKET. Aimee’s journey is a perilous one, from her lack of knowledge of the society mores of the time to the struggles to cook over an open campfire and living without a washing machine to the sheer hardship of traveling. The overall atmosphere is almost eerie as one truly feels swept back into the mad rush of the mid 1800s.

Aimee is a fascinating heroine. Her modern day approach to things keeps readers like myself from feeling overwhelmed by the historical details. In fact, it is Aimee’s character that makes the story so believable. Her reaction to the corset, along with checking the lack of a cell phone signal, adds just the right touch to make Aimee’s adventure seem real.

AIMEE’S LOCKET is an enjoyable adventure back in time. P.L. Parker doesn’t minimize the harshness of the 1800s nor does she inflate the role of women. Instead, she depicts what happens when a thoroughly modern day woman encounters the past- and learns to love it. Easily recommended!
