I have been hooked on this series since the first book, Enchanted Inc., introduced us and Katie to the wonderful, wacky world of the magical realm. We get to visit with our favorite gargoyle, Sam, and drool over sexy, absent professor/wizard Owen as we follow Katie and crew through another wild adventure. In this installment, we get to know Katie’s family, each of whom has their own quirks and drama. Her grandmother, especially, is an absolutely fabulous character, complete with fake Irish accent and fantastical stories that the rest of the family humors with rolled eyes and raised eyebrows. These new characters allow Katie to obtain new insights to her own talent as an immune and to begin to work through some leftover sibling rivalry issues. This book is full of delightfully humorous situations, quirky secondary characters and a dreamy hero. If you need a break from the stresses of your daily life, pick up this book and enjoy the rollicking, magical ride to Cobb, Texas. Hurry with book 5, Ms. Swendson!
