This anthology is comprised of four distinct stories all set in the wonderful community of Mysteria.

Disdaining Trouble by MaryJanice Davidson

The magical and troublemaking Desdaine triplets continually cause havoc in Mysteria. Then one day Whithering, one of the triplets, accidently ends up in Mysteria’s magic wishing fountain just as her mom is declaring a heartfelt wish. When she finally reappears, she is a different person with her own quests to fulfill.

The Nanny From Hell by Susan Grant

Shay is a demon sent on special assignment from Lucifer to kill Harmony and Damon’s (from the first Mysteria anthology) son. Little Damon has powers he is only beginning to display and is destined to be a challenge to Lucifer’s reign in the future. Then Shay has an unfortunate encounter with Mysteria’s magical wishing fountain and attracts the attention of demon slayer, Quel. What’s a demon to do?

A Tawdry Affair by Gena Showalter

Glory, the third of the three sister witches (two had their love matches in the first Mysteria anthology) has been rejected by the object of her attraction and she is out for revenge. And what better tool for a romance writer than a magic pen that brings all she writes to life? Mayhem is sure to follow.

It’s In His Kiss by P.C. Cast

Summer is a witch with an unfortunate “talent." Her magic is such that every spell done anywhere close to her ends up affecting her in opposite and unpredictable ways. Now she has returned to Mysteria to fill in for her sister as a local high school teacher. Stir in typical teenagers, a fairie and a gallery owner and interesting things are bound to occur.

This same stellar set of authors wrote the wildly popular Mysteria back in 2006 and fans have been waiting eagerly to return to Mysteria for more stories about their fascinating cast of paranormal characters. Fans of the first book will be delighted to catch up with characters from previous stories but those who are new to Mysteria will have no trouble whatsoever fully enjoying the stories in Mysteria Lane as a standalone anthology. Mysteria Lane is chock full of all flavors of paranormal creatures and it is thoroughly enchanting to read of werewolves, faries, demons, witches and a multitude of other “species” all living and working together in this unique Colorado town.

The authors make the most of their limited story lengths and deliver well executed and developed stories than can easily be read in one sitting. My personal favorite was the story by Maryjanice Davidson and, I hope that the other two Desdaine Triplets get their stories in upcoming publications. Everyone will want to come back to watch Little Damon grow up and see him battle evil as well. I remember being disappointed in Mysteria that Glory didn’t get her romance, so it was wonderful to see her story played out this time around. Well crafted, amusing and a great romantic escape, Mysteria Lane should be one everyone’s paranormal reading list this year.
