Sadie Williams feels the walls closing in on her. She loves Dylan, but is that enough? How can they survive as a married couple when she feels stifled and is bored by their sex? A month before the wedding she can’t take it anymore and must escape. “When do you plan to return?” Dylan can’t believe his fiancée is leaving him. How can she leave town a month before their wedding? How can she leave him! “When you catch me,” and with no more than a picture as a clue, Sadie disappears. What follows is an odyssey of sexual encounters and self-discovery. First, if you want to read a well written erotic story, this book is for you! The sex is hot! Every scene gets hotter and hotter. If I were Sadie, I’d leave Dylan on a regular basis just for the great makeup sex. One of the more enjoyable aspects of this book was how the sex scenes evolve with each encounter. The storyline was not one of my favorite. I think in part that is because Ms. Brooks did such a good job in developing the characters that a part of me had to dislike them. How can anyone like a sexually repressed man and a neurotic woman? Unfortunately I didn’t feel Ms. Brooks successfully pulled off the change in characters to the degree the story needed. To me it stretched the limit of believability. Alyssa Brooks knows how to write erotica. Every sexual encounter was steamy, inventive and left me panting. However, because I found the story line to be somewhat implausible I give this book 3 ½ Klovers. Reviewed by Tina |
