Wow, Cassidy McKay has a hit on her hands! THE COUNTDOWN has every element needed for success and Ms. McKay uses each and every one to its full potential. 

Wynne is a phenomenal heroine, completely dedicated to her friends. Her sense of humor in the midst of chaos is invaluable to her as a 9-1-1 operator and it works perfectly with the nightmare that ensues. Cassidy McKay does an excellent job at creating characters that the reader cares about. Not only are we enchanted by Wynne and Brent, but also characters like Leira and Rosa have us cheering along for them.

THE COUNTDOWN is a devilishly clever book. Cassidy McKay interjects moments of humor amongst some fairly horrific scenes to keep the tone from becoming too dark. Without a doubt, Cassidy McKay is an incredibly gifted and talented author and I for one am more than thrilled to see her name on books once again. Bravo, Ms. McKay, and please keep the phenomenal books coming!
