Seeking a relaxing vacation to take away the visions of the horrors he has seen as a reporter, Martin Winters heeds the advice of his editor and books a stay in a cabin in northern Wisconsin. Upon meeting the lakes owner Grace, he will not likely find the peace he was seeking. Instantly attracted to this firecracker, this vacation will be one he will not soon forget.

Grace has watched people come and go; no one loves this wild terrain more than her. All her memories have been wrapped up in this home she has come to love. So much in fact that she can never see herself giving it up even for love. This intriguing visitor from the city, Martin has made her heart speed more than once but he will be leaving too soon for her comfort.

AMAZING GRACE leads us through a journey of one woman’s incredible resolve in a period of time that most were expected to be barefoot and pregnant, not running a business. Her accomplishments so rare in the time period this story takes place, that her ability to handle all of this on her own speaks volumes. Wilhelmina Rush hits the nail on the head when she decided to come up with a counterpart that wouldn’t damper Grace’s free spirit.

An enlightening read from start to finish, when presented with the opportunity to read AMAZING GRACE wholeheartedly take up the offer. If you like heroines that are strong and humorous, not the damsels in distress types you will love Grace. Martin’s admiration and valiant intentions will be sure to please any hopeless romantic soul.
